Accounting Manager

Job description
BG Reklam is a Serbian manufacturer of premium POS and POP displays,
founded in 2001, working for brands including Google, Philips and
Luxottica. Over 200 people, our own facility in Barajevo, and four
legal entities — Serbia, Germany, the UK and the US.
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to take over the accounting
function, working directly with our Finance Director. Full ownership,
not supervision of someone else's decisions.
Our ideal candidate has these qualifications
- An experienced chief accountant or head of accounting who is used to
- Owning the full cycle — from a daily cash position to a closed annual
- Account — and who wants a wider scope than a local company of the same
- Size can offer. You will find things that can be done better. We expect you to say so, and to fix them.
Our kind of person has
- A degree in economics, accounting or finance
- 5+ years as head of accounting, chief accountant or accounting manager
- Strong knowledge of Serbian accounting and tax legislation
- Hands-on payroll experience
- ERP experience and advanced Excel
- English for day-to-day business communication
- An advantage: manufacturing experience, material accounting, work with related entities abroad.

Main responsibilities
- Lead the accounting function and coordinate the external accounting agency
- Daily cash position and weekly cash flow reporting
- Monthly and annual closings, statutory accounts and audit
- Payroll, related tax filings and sick-leave refunds
- Tax compliance — VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax
- Inventory and material accounting, together with procurement
- Accounting obligations for the German and UK entities, including intercompany reconciliations
- Support to sales on invoicing, customs and customer reconciliations
- ERP work and improvement of existing processes and controls
